During their different journeys of the MEMORIA Norway project, SpringerParker will update the Logbook on a regular basis.
It documents their route and events in forms of on location photos and descriptions sent directly via the mobile phone to this website.

Reminders of the war
On our way home we passed by one of the plenty reminders of WWII, visible throughout the city: the Andersgrotta an underground bunker which provided shelter to the town's residents during the war.

Hitchin' a ride
This evening we met Hilde Methi, who is curating the Sámi Art Festival. Over a nice dinner we heard a lot about the Sámi history and culture. She lives in one of the very few houses, that survived the bombing during WWII.

Sjømannsklubben
This picture is dedicated to the former seaman Jürgen Schulte. Before our jorney he told us to visit the seamen clubs around the Finmark, that he well remembers from his own journeys.

Inconsistencies
At the moment we are experiencing some inconsistencies in bringing our mobile phone online, due to network/provider issues. So we are a bit behind with feeding the Logbook. We hope this to be improved during the next days. Thanks for following us!

Borderland Museum
Last stop for today, the Borderland Museum, that is full stories, memories and artefacts from the time of the war and tonight also full of people of all ages, gathering for the famous dog race that is taking place outside near the lake.
