Back in Germany

We're back in Germany and drove all night towards our destination Haldern. We're already talking about one more winter exploration, more infos about that will follow during the next weeks.

Computer Love

After leaving Norway, our navigation system told us three times to turn around the car, as usual in her soft but strict voice. Although we found that very cute and strange at the same time, we couldn't give in to this tempting proposal since we need to be back in Germany by tomorrow. But anyway, a navigation system that fell in love with Norway might not be the worst companion for future explorations, guess we're gonna skip the next update.

One last glimpse

Our famous last glimpse before we will be crossing the border to Sweden. Thank you Norway, for the many inspiring and thoughtful moments. Take care, we'll be seeing you.

Tone Lyngstad Nyaas

We had a long and inspiring talk with Tone Lyngstad Nyaas, the curator of the "AntArctica" exhibition. Here she is sitting inside the work "AntArctica World Passport Mobile Delivery Bureau" by British artists Lucy + Jorge Orta.

The AntArctica exhibition

At the Haugar Art Museum, our "Permafrost" and "Florae" series are part of the "AntArctica" exhibition, which will be running until the 8th of November 2009. The photo series we produced from re-frozen water samples of melted permafrost floors and region-specific state of the moment flower collages, material we've been collecting at the Finnmark.

Haugar Art Museum Vestfold

Our last stop in Norway is the Haugar Art Museum Vestfold (Haugar - Vestfold Kunstmuseum) in Tønsberg.

Jana Winderen

We were lucky to meet sound artist Jana Winderen on the last day before she will leave for Greenland. She will do additional sound recordings for her upcoming CD release, which we are very much looking forward to. She just came back from The Hague/The Netherlands, where she presented her video/sound installation "Evaporation".
